Goodbye to the "HIPPIE DIPPY WEATHER MAN"

Awoke to the news that George Carlin had died of heart failure Sunday night. He was only 71! I know that may seem like he was "up there" compared to most of the population inhabiting the blogosphere. but as I said in my initial post, I was a "60's HIPPIE" and George was a lot older than I was at that time. Funny how the passage of years brings age groups closer and closer. Therefore I reiterate "He wasn't that old"! Bless you "hippie dippy weather man", for all the laughter you have brought to all of our lives. We will miss you dearly, but I'm sure you've got 'em rolling in the aisles of the hereafter.

Another Day in Paradise

Hot, Hot, and Hotter, that's all I can say about the status of the Front Range today. We apparently are being considered a battleground state here in Colorado. What exactly does that mean? We aren't red or blue? I guess that makes us purple. Perhaps we will see something the likes of "Custer's Last Stand", oh, that battle didn't take place in Colorado. Our local TV channels are bombarding us with political ads, and this is only June. Does any one ever really decide who they're going to vote for based on a commercial? OOOHHH that is a SCARY thought when you think about it, isn't it??

The Long Hot Summer!!

We have a long hot summer to look forward to here in the inter-mountain west. Capping it off will be the Democratic National Convention in Denver in August!!!!
I'll be staying away from downtown for that week. All the "Obama Girls" will be out in full force hoping for a touch a smile, a look, from the "Rock Star" candidate of the Party. I just wish Hilary would have stayed in til the convention to keep things INTERESTING!!
"Won't you please come to Chicago for a while ..... We can change the world, it's dying..."
If you're old enough to know what I'm talking about with that last line, you KNOW that Obama is not in our future the way I see it, and that from a 1960's Hippie. Will follow this mess through to the November elections, add your thoughts
