A Soldier's Letter from Afghanistan

Hello everyone. As you know I am not a very political person. I just wanted to pass along that Senator Obama came to Bagram Afghanistan for about an hour on his visit to "The War Zone". I wanted to share with you what happened. He got off the plane and got into a bullet proof vehicle, got to the area to meet with the Major General (2 Star) who is the commander here in Bagram.

As the soldiers were lined up to shake his hand he blew them off and didn't say a word as he went into the conference room to meet the General. As he finished, the vehicles took him to the "Clam Shell" pretty much a big top tent that military personnel can play basketball or work out in with weights, so he could take his publicity pictures playing basketball. He again shunned the opportunity to talk to soldiers to thank them for their service.

So really he was just here to make a showing for the Americans back home that he is their candidate for President. I think that if you are going to make an effort to come all the way over here you would thank those that are providing the freedom that they are providing for you.

I swear we got more thanks from the NBA Basketball players or the Dallas Cowboy Cheerleaders than from one of the senators who wants to be the President of the United States. I just don't understand how anyone would want him to be our Commander-in-Chief. It was almost that he was scared to be around those that provide the freedom for him and our great country. If this is blunt and to the point I am sorry but I wanted you all to know what kind of caliber of person he really is. What you see in the news is all fake.

I received this letter from a soldier in Afghanistan during the recent trip of Barack Obama. Please, come to your senses America!! No one knows the REAL BARACK OBAMA, or what he'll do if he becomes the next President. I fear for our country!!

T. Boone Pickens Energy Plan

I know that everyone is feeling the pain of the gas crisis. If the Democratic President Jimmy Carter had addressed the situation in the early 1970's when people were waiting in lines a mile long to get gas, and then it was rationed, we wouldn't be where we are today. Obama loves to say "well that plan will take 10 years to produce results", no matter whose plan it is. I sure don't hear any viable plan coming out of his mouth. So now on to Mr. Pickens. I don't know who this man is, (he says he's a Texas oilman) or what his political affiliation is, but he has a PLAN. Does anyone else on the scene today have a plan? Mr. Pickens says this plan depends on the person who is elected as our next President, and the cooperation of the congress (yeah right) to be brought to the American people. Well all I know is that if a certain President had done something about this problem 30+ years ago, this nation wouldn't be where it is today. And oh, don't forget, that President was a DEMOCRAT!!!

OUR INDEPENDENCE DEPENDS ON YOU!!

After having read the comments made by some editors of major newspapers regarding the celebration of Independence Day, I am appalled. How did we get to this point in our evolution as a nation where people actually believe we should apologize for our role in the history of the world? Ask the people of Germany if they really want the Berlin Wall back. Or the countries of Europe what their lives would be like if the United States hadn't joined WWII. Where are these views of our country coming from?? Why is it that our own citizens bash the country they were born and raised in? We have enough enemies that would like to see our way of life dissolve. Every freedom loving American must stand up for our way of life, and defend it every chance they get. So as you celebrate this 4th of July, remember the many who have given their lives so that we may have another year to celebrate the founding of the greatest nation on the planet!! THE LAND OF THE FREE AND THE HOME OF THE BRAVE!
